Thanks for visiting our new website. My passion for Toyotas runs deep. I purchased my first FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser in the late 1980s. “The bug” continued and several more followed, including a full restoration on a FJ45 with a custom flatbed. I have been working on Land Cruisers and Toyota Trucks since 1987. I previously owned Phillips Automotive Service in Durango, CO working exclusively on Toyota 4WD vehicles. After a short hiatus, an interlude with motocross racing then working with the Silverton Volunteer Fire Department while continuing to work on my small collection of Land Cruisers in Silverton, Colorado, it was time to follow the passion and take it to the next level ~ that is when the idea of Safari Ltd. was born.
Safari Ltd. was established in Grand Junction the summer of 2005 with my wife and partner, Kelly. We first rented a new building on Winters Avenue as we got to know the area. Being part of the community where we live is important to us and location was everything. During the summer of 2008, we purchased the building on the corner of 10th & Pitkin on the I-70 Business Loop for the permanent location of Safari Ltd. Over the past five years, Safari Ltd. has seen significant growth and we have been building a progressive team to grow with us. I feel Safari Ltd. fills a unique niche in the market. We are doing what we love and offering our services for a good dollar value, something that is also very important to us. I invite you to stop by and come check out our independent solar powered TOYOTA Service Center. We would love to visit with you. As the saying goes…it’s the journey not the destination.
Cheers -
Hugh Phillips,
owner of Safari Ltd.
