Our Photo Galleries

These collections of photos are just a small snapshot of some of the things that put a smile on our face. We love Land Cruisers - we love being in the desert & we love cruisin' around as many different places as time allows (which is never enough) and along the way, meeting great people to share in the journeys. Some of these galleries are specific trips and others are just collections of fun times, we hope you enjoy! Feel free to visit our FB Page and post photos of your journeys.

Bears Ears to Gateway

June 2010

This 6 day trip started in southeastern Utah along the Trail of the Ancients. Bears Ears offer a spectacular view of the desert below - Grand Gulch, Cedar Mesa, Comb Ridge all glowing in the setting sun. The next several days takes us exploring through Beef Basin and Upper House Park. Reality shortly hits and we head to the Needles Store for a re-fuel and duck back into the desert with our eyes on the east side of the La Sals. From the desert sage floor to the spruce-fir forest, we finished this trip rolling down John Brown Canyon into Gateway. Read more

Customer Appreciation Runs

October 2006 to current

In October 2006, Safari Ltd held our Inaugural Anniversary Ride along with Central FJ Cruiser Trail Team. Despite the rainy weather, we had almost 20 vehicles for Saturday's morning ride out 29 Road and finished up the day out in Bangs Canyon. Some of us didn't get enough on Saturday and met up on Sunday for run up 21 Road. In 2007, the FJ Cruiser Trail Team joined us again and we made a run out Rabbit Valley / Kokopelli with a trailside BBQ Lunch. Moving into our new location in the fall of 2008 put a dent in the annual event and we are looking forward to bringing it back next fall! Stay tuned... Read more

San Rafeal Swell

Subtitle for this gallery

This trip started off as a challenge to get to the northern Swell from Grand Junction without the use of I-70, just for fun. How many times have we driven through this section of landscape going too fast to enjoy the beauty of the Book Cliffs or the antelope grazing in the desert - too focused on a destination? This time we reinforced... its the journey not the destination. This trip took us along the Old Spanish Trail, up Cedar Mountain, Buckhorn Wash, the Red Ledges, all around the Sid's Mtn area., under I-70 and back the way we came. Fun trails, great views, amazing skies, and plenty of rock art - not bad for a long weekend! Read more

Swell to Capital Reef & Back

Taking advantage of a long weekend in the spring, this one finds us criss-crossing our way around the southern San Rafael Swell dipping into the northern portions of Capital Reef National Park. The auxiliary fuel tank in our flat bed gives us a great cruising range - dropping into the Heart of Sinbad Road, Muddy Creek, Cathedral Valley, up and over the fresh snow covered mountains into Loa for more fuel - down the through Capital Reef NP and up the Bentonite Hills, Caineville Wash - Temple of the Sun & Moon, up through Eagle Canyon and meandering our way back home. What a great birthday and another weekend spent truly enjoying the journey! Read more

East African Safari-Tanzania

Jambo & Karibu (hello & welcome) These photos are a collection from our safari beginning in Seronera (central Serengeti); covering the Makoma Hill area, Retina & Banagi, Maasai Kopjes, and the Sametu marsh moving into the southern Serengeti plains, over Naabi Hill, through the Gol Kopjes and into the Ndutu woodlands and plains. From there, our safari continued through the Matiti Plains, Ngorongoro highlands to the Ngorongoro Crater National Park on to Karatu and Lake Manyara National Park and concluding at Tarangire National Park, the Silale Swamp and the Kitibong region. These photos can not do justice to the spectacular landscape or the amazing wildlife but we tried our best and threw in a bunch of Land Cruisers to keep your attention!
